Repurposing football kits to Nigeria
We finally had the notitification and update that the football kits that we had repurposed had arrived at its final destination in Nigeria. Recent restrictions and delay to international post because of Covid-19 and the global pandemic meant that it took much longer than originally expected.
We were kindly given a whole host of football items after Matt Cawte was clearing out his collection from the now defunct Weston Favell Football Club. Among this clearout were two football kits that we knew we wanted to repurpose and allow others to enojy the game with these kits. With so much being sent to landfill in the modern world we are trying where we can to relocate items like football kits where they can be repurposed/reused and apprecaited.
Our Chairman AJ made contact with a rep from Divine Stars FC who was able to facilitate them being shipped over to Lagos in Nigeria for us.
We received a message to confirm arrival there in lagos, plus the players sent us this mesage:

For us as a club it gives up great pleasure to see football equipment not going to waste and being reused. Football is a fantastic sport that brings people together, regardless of colour, gender, nationality and ability.
