Flood Updates, Pitch improvements

Up and running again with some invaluable support

It was great to see a smile back on our Groundsman face again after all the issues he faced after the unprecedented flooding that happened over the Christmas period. The smiles were of course that nearly all the damaged equipment has either been repaired and returned or replaced with refurbished equipment.
Spring is just about here and that means that the mowing, strimming, weeding and general maintenance will begin to kick into high gear. After the floods had all but left Mohammad with nothing but a chainsaw to work with, it's brilliant for us to see him in a place to have a fighting chance of going for Groundsman of the season again (Awarded last year).
Sadly though he had to say goodbye to the Toro 3100d which he had been using, a brilliant bit of kit that assisted Mo in getting the pitch looking in the best condition ever in our opinion.

It had been submerged in roughly a metres worth of water and needed a great deal of work.

Thankfully though we have a fantastic relationship with Steve and the team over at The Mower Shop who have been fantastic since hearing of the damage caused by the floods.

Steve has been nothing but helpful since hearing what happened and went above and beyond to help the club get us in the best position possible for the coming months considering the financial strains. We as a club cannot thank him and the team enough and can recommend using them 100%.

2020 has certainly been a tough year for everyone because of the global pandemic, supporting local business has been something we have been passionate about for a long time and cannot stress how important it is now to help a local business like The Mower Shop to continue to trade for years to come.
The Mower Shop.

Please consider using them for any garden/landscaping equipment you may need, they offer services to both domestic and commercial customers and are always on hand with support should you need it.

Spring as we said earlier is nearly here so we hope to update you on pitch and grounds improvements as they happen, with so much disruption to grassroots football through 2020 we know that everyone is bursting to get back to training and playing once again. We will be doing everything we can to get the pitches ready for both the coming weeks and months, but also the Summer when (we hope) tournaments can happen.

Look out for updates on our website and social media.
