Groundsman of the Year – Spencer Community Trust
We are so happy and proud that our groundsman has been chosen as the Groundsman of the year by Northamptonshire FA.
Mohammad has been working very hard over the last 2 years when he took over the role as a volunteer and the results speak for themselves, the transformation of the pitches has been very well received and we hope that he continues to stay with the club and progress things even further.
Mohammad is the first to admit that it has been a steep learning curve and mistakes have been made along the way, but we all know that this is how we improve and learn. The compliments have been coming in thick and fast in the last year as the work started to show with the grass on the Kingsthorpe Mill pitch showing the best results.
We also wanted to take a second and say a huge Thank You to the team over at the Mower Shop who has been amazing with support and services. There knowledge and experience has has helped Mohammad get the Toro mower into the sweet spot, making Mohammad's job that little bit easier.
Thank You on behalf on Spencer Community Trust to everyone that voted for Mohammad, and of course Thank You to the NFA Northamptonshire Football Association for their continued support on and off the field.
Our Pitches
We have two 11v11 sized pitches plus a small training area that can accommodate two small 4v4 pitches. Mohammad has been working wonders with the grounds over a two year period.
